It truly has been far too long since I have posted here at the Wearne's in the Woods. Although I shouldn't use it as an excuse I was once again drawn away from blogging by my Facebook Addiction! I never thought I would reactivate my account but as a father of a teenager I wanted to monitor her first interactions via social media. It didn't take long to get sucked back into the world of Facebook and before I knew it a year had passed. This past week I decided that I needed to focus on my interactions with friends and family here in the real world more than only via the world wide web.
I will admit it was a difficult decision and I quickly realized how much time I spent peeking in on every one's daily life. The hardest part was I had started a cooking/recipe page where I posted pictures of my favorite dishes as did several of my friends and family. I now realize that I can still do that here with you my loyal readers.
The past two days I have been thinking about my blog and how I actually miss updating it. Today I was sitting with Rebecca's parents after lunch and the conversation came up that I should write more. To me this was a sort of confirmation of what I had been thinking about the past couple days. I may not be the most eloquent writer but I do enjoy sharing my life's experiences here via my blog and I think I do it in an entertaining manner with plenty of words and pictures.
So with some nervous excitement I announce my return to blogging and anticipate building up to frequent posts. I may go back in time a little bit to share some of my life's journey from the past year while I get back into the groove of writing. To those of you have checked in throughout the past year despite my lack of activity, I thank you!
